BAI DOU KOU: A warm and pungent substance, it transforms Dampness, mobilizes the circulation of Qi and warms the Middle Burner (Spleen/Stomach).

GUI ZHI: A pungent, sweet, and warming substance, it promotes perspiration without harming Yin, activates the circulation of Qi and Blood in the vessels, and helps to bring Blood to the extremities. It disperses external Wind, clears the Biao (surface), and harmonizes YING QI (nutritive energy).

BA JIAO HUI XIANG: Star anise is an aromatic herb of warming nature and pungent flavor. It warms the internal organs by dispersing cold, mobilizes Qi, and soothes pain.

GAN JIANG: A pungent, aromatic, and warming substance, it warms the Middle Burner and the Lung. It disperses Cold, eliminates phlegm, and relieves inversion by restoring Yang.

Preparation:

Put 6g of infusion in 200ml of water and boil for 5 minutes.
